In this engaging and original campaign by Wieden Kennedy, we’re introduced to Lil Mbappé, a mini version of Kylian Mbappé who took over Nike Football’s Instagram, inviting users to DM him in order to start receiving fast and fun challenges.

Bringing Mbappé
to the users

We created an AR experience that brought Lil Mbappé to life and into people’s environments. Users were able to film themselves alongside this iconic avatar, participating in the different challenges and moves. The selfie mode experience amped up the playfulness, focusing on Mbappé’s electrifying energy and encouraging users to channel their Mbappé mode.

The shareable quality of this fun and playful AR experience meant that it created a lot of buzz around the campaign. Getting people involved and moving with Lil Mbappé also meant that people spent a lot of time on the experience – boosting user engagement.
